Wilfred Koitamet, Executive Director BA in philosophy and literature, Currently heads MED in Kenya. In 1994 Koitamet helped found the Kenyatta University Cultural Center, an organization intent on blending Western cultures with local cultures. Koitamet has worked as a peer counselor at Kenyatta University and has also arranged extension programs to high schools in Kenya. Over the last ten years, he has been involved in the education of the Maasai people and in issues affecting their development. He has worked as an advocate of early child education, cultural studies and rural development volunteer projects. He has organized outreach programs to educate Maasai people on democratic constitutional reforms.
Beatrice Macksallah, Librarian Beatrice obtained a degree in Education, specializing in Library Information Science and Kiswahili, from Kenyatta University in 1999. She worked as a teacher librarian in two other institutions: St Mary’s High School and Tenstar High School before joining MED in 2003. At MED she is also in charge of the Mentoring Program for the students.
George Mokua Nyangweso, Director of Academics Nyangweso graduated from the Nairobi University with a degree in computer science. He joined MED in 2005 and worked as a computer science instructor in charge of IT and Mathematics, Training evening students and IT classes: Intro to Computers, Develop course/training materials and course exercises. In 2006 he become the director of Academics in charge of the MED community college.
Moses Gichuki Mathenge, Accountant In 2004 Moses graduated from Catholic University of Eastern Africa with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting. He is in charge of financial management of the organization. Moses also works as accounting instructors at MED community college.
Doris Manale, Administrative Assistant Graduate of Egerton University in computer Sciences. In 2002 Doris joined MED as a volunteer and later employed as the administrative assistant. In 2005 while working at MED she trained as a Cisco Certified Network Associate.
Lilian Seenoi Dhillon, Program Co-ordinator Lilian Seenoi Dhillon started working with MED in 2003 as head of the FGM program. Her responsibilities as the head of the program are to coordinate rescue missions and scholarship programs, work on capacity building, and conduct workshops and seminars in schools on family life, education, and human health. She also monitors and evaluates MED funded women projects for women fighting FGM in the Maasai community and especially in Narok.
Lois Naipanoi, Girl’s Coordinator As the Girl’s Coordinator, she has had time to interact with all the sponsored girls and she is involved in the mentoring program in primary and secondary schools. She also helps the girls in making jewelry, which in turn is sold in the online jewelry shop in Narok.
Helen Masiyioi, Art Centre Director Helen Masiyioi, Art Centre Director, Masiyoi obtained a diploma in mass communication at Air Travel and Tours Training College, Nairobi, as well as a certificate in Computer Information Science in 2002. As the director she designs clothes, supervises art creation, markets and advertises the objects, and organizes sales.
Jerusha Naneu, Business Center Associate Jerusha is a beneficiary of the MED-USAID scholarship program. Jerusha attended MED community college for two years and studied Information Technology & Cisco Certified Network. In 2005 she interned at the MED Library for one year and later joined MED as a full time Business Center Associate.
Kakenya Meigara, Business Center Associate Kakenya is a beneficiary of the MED-USAID scholarship program. Kakenya attended MED community college for two years and studied Information Technology specializing in web Design and Graphic Design. Kakenya worked as an Intern at the business center before she was retained to work full time.
Jennifer Koikai, Network Administrator Jennifer is a beneficiary of MED-USAID scholarship program, attended MED community college for two years, graduated with a Certificate in IT and Cisco Certified Network Associate 2005. She later joined the African Advanced Level Telecommunication Institute (AFRALTI) with the support of MED and trained on CCNA instructor training and IT essential certification from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South Africa.
Phideline Nasieku, Network Administrator Network Administrator and Cisco Instructor, Phideline is a beneficiary of the MED-USAID scholarship Program. Phideline attended MED community college and graduated with a certificate in Computer Literacy, Web Design and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). With the help of MED Phideline joined African Advanced Level Telecommunication Institute (AFRALTI) and trained as a CCNA Instructor. “I am indebted to MED for having made me whom I am today. Just like any other Maasai girl, were it not for MED, I could be a small house wife with10+ children waiting for my husband to bring at least the evening meal! Thank You MED."
Silvia Santa, Cisco Instructor Santa is a beneficiary of MED-USAID scholarship program, attended MED community college for two years, graduated with a Certificate in IT and Cisco Certified Network Associate 2005. She later joined the African Advanced Level Telecommunication Institute (AFRALTI) with the support of MED and trained on CCNA instructor training.
Rose Munyasia, Cisco Instructor. Rose graduated from the African Advanced Level Telecommunication Institute (AFRALTI) in 2004 and Joined MED in 2005 to work as a a CCNA Instructor.
Sese Lungalo, Computer Science Instructor Sese joined MED in 2005 as a database specialist as well as a computer science instructor in office and desktop applications, Mathematics computer fundamentals, programming, DBMS and web design.
Lydia Nalangu, Maasai Art Centre Associate Lydia is a beneficiary of MED-USAID scholarship program .In 2003 she joined MED community college and trained in Information Systems. After graduating she interned at MED art Centre where she was later retained on a full time basis to as an Art Centre associate. Lydia designs Maasai traditional jewellery, ornaments and clothing for sale at the Art Centre and online.
Josephine Tayiani, Library Assistant A beneficiary of MED-USAID program. In 2004 she joined MED and trained in IT and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). After graduating from MED she interned at the MED library where she was later employed as the Librarian Assistant.
Grace Nderitu, Scholarship program coordinator Grace joined MED in 2002 as a volunteer, trained in computer sciences and program development. In 2003 she was retained as a scholarship program coordinator.
Silvia Matunda, Academic Administrator Silvia joined MED in 2004. She assists the director of Academics in the preparation of exam materials, record student grades, maintain student transcript records, monitor student attendance, and provide word processing support. Silvia also works in the students ID office.
