About Narok >
Climate

In Narok warm days and cool nights predominate. The average daytime high is about 77 degrees (25 degrees Celsius and cool nights can be as low as 10 degrees or lower). Humidity is not a factor. Even though Narok is close to the equator, winter, especially early mornings and evenings, can be very chilly, so when visiting Narok, bring a warm jacket and a sweater. The months of June, July, and August can be extra chilly. Narok, like any other part of Kenya goes through two seasons, the dry (short rains) season and the rainy season. During the short rainy season, between October and December, it will rain daily for about one hour, usually later in the day or during the night. The long rainy season, sometime between April and July, means that it will start raining in the afternoon and will rain until the next day. You will need sturdy, waterproof /resistant ankle high boots during the rainy season as it gets very muddy. During the dry season, Narok can be very dusty, especially when it hasn't rained for a long time. Be prepared for very dusty shoes, dusty clothes, and dirty feet.
