The mentoring camp is designed to empower Maasai girls to aim higher in life. The camp takes place from April 15th to may 2nd and august 15th to September 2nd every year at the Maasai Education Discovery center in Narok, Kenya. The camp focuses on girls’ personal needs, interests, skills, potentials and future aspiration. The camp gives young girls a chance to have fun, play and meet career women who are able to advise and encourage them to aim higher in life and work hard for what they want to get.
Activities carried out at the camp include: Outdoor activities such as: Foot towers, trust circle, human chain, paper fence Group therapy activities: Involvement of group therapy, personal analysis aimed at building a relationship between the facilitators and the participators and also between the participators. Field trips: Involving the cleaning of the Narok community and visiting hospital patients. Dating games: Talent shows and cultural nights that are really fun for everyone.
Camp participants explore and learn the following topics: Womens Rights: Issues affecting women in the society Violence Against Women: Domestic violence. Gender Roles: The roles of both the male and the female in the community and issues affecting them.
Assertiveness and Peer Pressure: Being assertive, aggressive and passive, and negative and positive effects of peer pressure HIV / AIDS & Drug Abuse: The use of drugs and its effects in society as related to HIV / AIDS. Family Planning: The different methods of planning a family and the consequences. Internet based peer to peer activities.

The camp is open to young girls between the ages of 8 -18 years of age from Kenya and other parts of the world.
