MED working in collaboration with Individual sponsors, The United States Agency for International Development, (USAID) One Here One There, a non profit 501 C ( 3), BNP Paribas, The Maasai Foundation of America, INC., and numerous other anonymous donors, sponsor over 800 Maasai students a year to attend primary, secondary and tertiary level of education. The program targets Maasai children, mostly girls who, for various reasons, lack the resources and opportunity to pursue their education. The program works toward increasing the retention level of Maasai children in schools.
