Course overview This day-time course runs for one semester (16 weeks). It builds on the skills learned during the Certificate in Computer Literacy. Upon completion of the course the students will be awarded a certificate in Advanced Computer Studies. Courses will start every semester.
Entry requirements To be eligible for admission into the Certificate in Advanced Computer Studies, a candidate must satisfy one of the following: A MED certificate in Computer Literacy
Pass a MED computer literacy exam Only upon successful completion of exams in DOC02, XLS02, MDB01, CAL02 and ENG02 will students be allowed to progress to level two of the course.
Credits awarded per subjects One credit is equivalent to two hours lectures and practicals over 16 weeks of study.

DOC02 MS Word-II 1.5 credits
XLS02 MS Excel-II 1.5 credits
MDB01 MS Access-I 1.5 credits
ENG02 English-II 1 credit
CAL02 Math-II 1 credit
Stage two Core subjects
ENG03 English-III 1 credit
CAL03 Math-III 1 credit Elective subjects (3 subjects need to be chosen)
